Stainless window trim 240

Yet another question for you 240 experts.
Is it correct that the 240 had stainless steel window trim, as opposed to chrome, only it loks a bit odd, I think, especially as the door handle is very good condition chromework, and stainless does not have that same sparkle?

Side window surrounds and infil strips on front and rear window rubbers are all stainless steel, as are the roof edge strips and door top strips.
