Someone knowledgable to advise/inspect UK cars?

Morning,

So I’m finally in a position to buy a Z project!

I’m in Guernsey though and this will be my first, so I’d love to find someone who would be able to offer some advice and inspect any potential purchase before I go through with it? Paid of course!

Is there anyone in the group who could offer such a service?

I’m in the trade (I run a performance & cherished vehicle centre here in Guernsey) so pretty clued up, but not yet experienced with Z’s and I’d rather not buy a lemon, especially if I can’t inspect it myself (travel to/from here is hilariously expensive)

Thanks, James

I suspect many could give a decent assesment of a car for you - but it will depend where the car is if they can do it.

That would be excellent, thank you!
Which part of the UK are you in and where would you be happy to travel to?

Thanks, James

Thank you so much for the offers guys!

I’m amazed at how many cars I’ve been offered today - not to mention the range of standard that’s on offer for much the same price!

Some are from really well known forum members, so hopefully I may be ok.
I can’t wait to come up to a meet and see people now though!

Even ones from well known members I'd still be crawling over. There's ones on here where you can see rust coming through the doglegs/sills/wings. so if you can see that on the outside, just think of the inside.

Have you seen some of the 'sold' prices recently? the rhd 260z which netted the owner £29k?

As I said to you, I wanted to see what was available and go from there. I don't want to feel like I'm being pushed.
With respect, I've had a few other cars in considerably better condition offered at a better price, which seem a better buy to me.

Cheers

you'll get lots of choice to choose from. taking your time isn't going to hurt your search at all. Even if one sells that you want, at least you'll know what it is.
