f you know all this Albrecht, please message them on the forum’s behalf and ask them to start a thread on the car and post some pics, as I am sure we’d all be interested in seeing it.

I'm sure they'll post in due course, should they wish to. Nothing to do with me.

Look, I only piped up because I knew what had *actually* happened here. If I hadn't, we'd have the 'nasty forum chased them away' narrative being treated as accepted fact rather than the nonsense that it is.

Not to sure what forums you frequent Alan but in my recent experience no its not par for the course.

Well, for example, two weeks ago I was called out as a "Troll" on a Z-specific forum of which I have been a member for around 18 years. The guy who did this has been a member there for a couple of years at most, and most of his posts are from the last few months or so. My offence? Something totally banal. Too trivial to bother explaining. But he cried "Troll!", as though he was judge, jury and executioner and as though there could be no comeback. It seems quite common elsewhere too. Likewise Facebook and Twitter. I find it hard to imagine that our friend Mr MichaelR would have received any more of a cotton wool welcome elsewhere.

OK, I'm open-minded and willing to learn something here. Read back through this thread and point out any posts, or comments in posts, which you consider problematic. Show me.

Honestly, I don't see anything particularly rude, unwelcoming or confrontational there. Some (healthy!) scepticism maybe, but that is quite understandable in answer to the description and robust asking price combined with a lack of good photos. My own post was - I hope - good advice paired with some (rhetorical) questions and a polite request for a glovebox base photo, and an explanation for that request. It went unanswered...

Thought your request for glovebox piccie was quite good as I learnt something there and probably the few that are in here did also as for the sceptical requests which some would say are scarcastic can just pissss some people off and they disappear depending how they take it really and there are trolls everywhere, just ignore them

Gents,i am amazed at some of the comments but also slightly shocked by others that imply this is something that it isnt.in my opinion the perfect place to offer such a vehicle would be to enthusiasts and anyone who thinks i would waste my time and yours is mistaken. I will hopefully (weather allowing) at the weekend take some quality pictures and post them. All i will say is that any doubters will be silenced. Thank you

So Michael’s response was blown from nothing?

And even,

40,000 thats got to be a joke

My last comment on the subject.

I think its quite easy to under estimate the value of original rhd cars. The last one that needed a complete rebuild went for something like £23 on Ebay and as i know you will spend at least that amount and more to restore to a good quality finish. They seem to be fetching good money and why not the Zeds are great cars.
I must say i have found every one very helpful on this forum and had some great advice. Might test the waters with my car soon who knows ;)
