I think the idea is that grolls is collating a few ideas from "what is happening next" so the ideas are not lost in genal discussion

our site being open only to paying members

Should there be a two tiered membership

a full membership that receives the paper magazine (and the 'virtual' mag. by email)

receive electronically my club mag. and print it off if desired

one end of year colour annuel

a second mag in the late spring

More money or less magazine –

. chase after the ZXs, both 280s and Z31s

remind owners that lapsed membership invalidates their club scheme insurance

lookers and journalists searching for the Z truth (Albrecht !)

put membership fees up a little

make enquiries ans consider changing publishers

what benefits members get apart from the excellent magazine? The forum is open to non members. Can you get cheaper spares, insurance etc. when you are a member?

You can get a discount from insurers who advertise

. club mag through the post

inspiration to keep going I know it helped me when working on my cars.

promotion of the 350z but I think they and the 300zx

make it a more social club,

has anyone tried to sell the other clubs on having a section in the mag

happy to pay whatever our sub is (£26, £28?) justified by the mag.

if there is no mag wots the point in being in the club

a card to be left on a windscreen of a z(printed on both sides)

each colour A4 advert raises only £140 –

however if membership doubled then the magazine would no doubt make us money.

more use of the website

Also if people could contribute to the articles, reviews, technical section

Membership could go up to 30 quid, nothing at all these days

All internet access only by paid up club members

A paying traders section,

:wanted section for those traders in new and or second hand parts !

a discussion with the Z32 and 33 guys to publish a dedicated UK Z magazine catering for all the range, edited by our own chap

The club should not become totally 'virtual' as the realness

When is the next AGM? If it's a long way off can we afford to wait that long? How about an interim meeting at swapmeet or JAE?

put out to tender the printing of the club mag

attracting the 300ZX and 350Z people to the club
(perhaps consider amalgamation).

join the AA through me i will donate any commisions i recieve to the club funds.

Get this web site locked down immediately. Get the "Subscribe Now" button on the home page

Produce two full size glossy "expensive" issues and two laser photocopy, staple it to gether B&W "cheap" issues

The subscribe system is coming, but its quite complicated, I'd say about 50-75% of the work has been done though.

The only way to get the cost per copy down is to increase the number of copies (more members, sell it to more clubs, launch it properly).

if the ZClub is so good, how come the 300ZX forum started - and the 350Z - etc" what are they offering their members which we are not?

In the print industry you definitely get what you pay for

Who is our competition ?

And if you can't beat 'em, join 'em ! Or, more corectly, work with them !

perhaps every other one mag as a laser copy

Can the magazine and go internet only; restricited to members with a small section open to tempt new members in.

The Club becomes more attractive because of this fantastic website with an abundance of information

maybe an online vote due? after all its for the benefit of the club. (obviously member only vote)

E mailing lapsed members, magazine give-away, January sale, working with other forums (300 and 350)

Certain traders have agreed to send out a Z Club promotion leaflet to customers when then send out their own stock. This leaflet is being worked on and costed.

Z Club shop, advertising in the magazine and forum are being revised to increase sales

put fees up.keep the mag

I still love our magazine and all that it stands for. It is a great promotion tool. You can hand it out to prospective members, traders, journalists

There is no substitute for a member seeing "their" car and "their" article in print

The web site has got to be locked down as a supplementary member's resource with only limited access for those not prepared to contribute financially

The magazine could even continue as a joint publication available to members of 300zx.co.uk and 350zuk

A bigger community would be even more attractive to advertisers and the commerce aspect of the web sites would grow and contribute more to each Club's funds.

continue to enjoy reading about members cars, problems and technical tips

I believe that two a year of a quality magazine and two of a photo-copy style would be acceptable to the majority of members

Reducing the amount of content available to non members might bring a few more into the club

I wish there was a local group close to me but there isn't (

I think the idea of linking up the 300 & 350 sites into your mag is a great idea

The website can be a fantastic tool to attract the unwary to Z cars and the Club. Therefore it needs to have at least one brightly coloured page describing the attributes of each car and an open car classifieds section so that people can buy Z’s then join the Club

not much use advertising your car in the classifieds if only Z owners will see the ad

I would be happy to download it and print off some copies if necessary!..

I think that new 350Z owners will naturally want their own forum, perhaps not associated with 'old Datsuns ', but it's the second or third owners looking for a more "classic" style club, who we are more likely to attract.

The problem I and any other editor have is a lack of

Local group reports

News views
Letters to editor

Causes - Lack of cars, 2 other clubs getting all the Z32 & Z33 owners

I think we could put up the Membership Fee to help the Mag

a Donation Tab so that members can give a small amout if they feel they want to and help out our Club,

I also feel that this section as we are discussing the clubs finacial position should be members only but, the site should not be locked down completely so that potential members can access gallery and post question's to ourselves and view most areas but not post in them all, you never know we might want that spare R200 4.11:1 diff that Joe Bloggs has had in his garage for ages and only wants a tenner for.

Build up a tecnical data base that is only accessible by members and then advertise that fact when you enter the site. This should start from 240 to 350

Whilst the current magazine is still in print, set a team allocated to
filming Z event's,restoration features,track & other Z related content.
This can be collected, inclusive of 'trade' advertising(revenue) & edited
into a Z CLUB DVD.

I think we should consider either Seans idea of a download mag, or if members dont like this, then surely they would be happy to pay more, I would be happy if the club doubled the membership fee.

Increase memberships fees

Keep the Z Club magazine as it is

Have a paid up Z Club members only area on the website

I propose that the club consider this, by writing to every member and gauging a reaction
