what do i need?

litterally everything to get it in an running?

any help would be amazing

My Lordy... In at the deep end eh? Well, a 240 and an RB26DETT would be a good start!
Are you starting from a running 240? Or has it already had bits chopped and changed?
Are the trannie and prop-shaft stock? What diff? Gearbox?

I'll start it off. You're gonna need:
a) Tonnes of time and money
b) Intercooler
c) Boost Pipe (aplenty)
d) Exhaust system (there are a few solutions on this site for peeps who've done this)
e) Skyline trannie
f) Ignore me and just look here and here

its jus a running 240 atm sort of haha its all stripped out ready for something to happen just trying to find out the cost and wat i need for the rb26 and the tripple weber with engine mods with pros and cons

I think the triple webber would probably over-carb it, most people fit them because they look pretty and they like wasting fuel... for what they'll supply you'll need some serious airflow :) I think I read a report from the rally boys that when they had to go to original Hitachi carbs (change in regs or something) they didn't really lose any power when they were set up properly, just saved some fuel :) Might have improved throttle response or something I guess.

Disclaimer: I've never done any of this so it's just information I may or may not have read correctly.

imo would be cheaper to buy a complete damaged Skyline for all the parts
Dont just buy odd bits else it will be hell
Just to add an RB25 would be much cheaper and easier to find, plus easier to fit
You'll need the gearbox anyway so you'll be half way there that way

All the parts to convert it over can be had from the states
Not cheap, but by far easier and the quickest way to get things done
Set aside 2k + to get started.
The rest will dep who you know and what you can make yourself

Your shopping list will looking something like this

Complete RB26 engine, engine loom, dropping resisitor pack, ecu, maf's etc
RB/S30 engine mounts and gearbox mounts there are a number of ways to do this. I'm using Rick Wong billet mounts and custom gearbox mount
R33 GTST. gearbox, slave cylinder, and propshaft
200ZR sump (or a suitable alternative as this part is no longer available)
Custom oil pickup pipe (the 200ZR sump will also need to be modified for clearance of the pickup pipe)
R33 GTST flywheel and uprated clutch to suit or OS Giken or similar RB clutch assembly which is the push type.
R33 GTST lower engine harness
Any version of the Skyline dash harness for the connector to the ECU loom and Consult connector if your using the standard ecu
Uprated radiator and electric fan
Front mount intercooler, aluminium and silicon pipe work to suit (3" diameter works well I got away with 2 pieces of straight aluminium pipe, 3 45 degree silicon elbows and 1 straight piece to connect it all)
Custom air filters to replace original setup something like K&N universal ones work well (Cant remember the diameter of the inlet either 2.5" or 2.75")
Custom made exhaust
Boost controller
2 Z32 fuel filters, high pressure fuel pump (I use a walbro 255) and swirl pot/lift pump setup
Autometer speedo and rev gauage (rev gauage will need an MSD Tach adapter as it wont work with the standard ecu's output signal)
Autometer oil presure and water tempreture gauages etc also work well and are easy to fit

Your also need to run an R200 and stronger driveshafts etc to handle the increase in power. And read up on how to wire it all up Chris Rummel's easy follow RB into Z wireing guide - HybridZ

Plus 10k and around 1-2 years to get it done !!!!!..

Hmmm 10k is abit much atm what other options do I have? Can u get itbs for this engine? Coupled with a samuri head I've seen for sale and standalone management would be interesting!

I would just go for a hot 2.8 and see if I could get about 220bhp from it, the last 80 or 100bhp from the engine cost the most! 220bhp is quite a bit in a lightweight old car, then worry about big power in the future :)

You can ITBS for any engine, you just have to spend the money to set them up :) If you have a search through the forum here you'll see Skiddel has done it successfully.

Alex, as this is your first Z (your Dad's red and black one if I remember) get it running and do a few miles in it. You are a body man so it'll be tidy I assume. Go to shows and talk to members about their cars and mods (all types).

A young lad like you trying to get your first Z on the road as an RB coversion is a BIG ask! Also you won't see a lot of that money again, and what about insurance .
