Where is the best place to source a decent RB25 engine?

Or

How hard would it be to convert R33 RB25 to RB28?

Which then brings

RB28? No such thing mate as far I'm aware. Rb25/26 and rb30 in aus only.
Try Ebay of course. Skyline forums driftworks etc all the obvious places really.

Was a full RB25 package on ebay the other day for £1500 I believe ?
Seen running engines alone from £400 up but not much good unless you get all the bits?
Try your local friendly breakers maybe?
Never know you might get the full package nice n cheap :D
 
RB28s do exist as a Tomei kit, but not as production versions as far as I am aware.
RB30 was found in 1994 UK Patrol in mild single carb form! (I had one as a tow car for a while.)
 
I think HKS did an 3.0 stroker kit for the factory 2.6 but the 2.8kit could rev harder and so was slightly more pwerful.
I'd avoid Driftworks as they don't exactly nurse their motors....

Also think about where you might find the engine mount fitting kit, assuming you will use one?
Don't think they're available over here, unless someone knows of a friendly supplier to the uk?

I don't think a mounting kit is required. The engine is to replace a blown one already in an R33
