r200 diff

Can anyone confirm for me on which side of an r200 diff the longer stub axle goes in? On mine the longer one was on the right hand side ( looking forward from the back of the car) the but I am sure I read somewhere that the longer on went on the left hand side

Short flange LH

Long flange RH

The ring gear is located towards the left side and this is where the splines on the shorter LH flange engage. The longer RH one has to pass across the pinion engagement position into the RH side of the ring gear carrier.
