Dear Count been looking at your pictures you have kindly put up of the S30 cars in Japan. The heat shield used when they have a triple set up do you know how they attach ? onto the carbs / manifold as would like to have one made up over here. Do you have any close up pictures of the carbs/shield

I don't have any pics to hand that show this area in great detail. Getting your camera 'up there' to take a photo would feel a little like peeping up a girl's skirt.....

Most of them have tabs that attach to the manifold studs. On Mikuni carbs there are tapped holes under the carb bodies that can be used for steadying brackets or for attaching heat shields. You could also use the lower carb body to manifold studs as attachment points.
