Quality of available repair panels for 240z

Hello,

After a number of years of storing (and lurking on thsi website), I'm about to start on the long awaited resto...and would welcome some advice

On ebay there appears now to be regular adverts for rear wheel arch repair panels from Classic car parts direct at competitive prices.

Does anyone have any experience with these panels and their quality?

I have tried emailing them to understand the "providence" of the panels but recieved no reply.

Thanks

Phil

I have a nearside one of them. Quality is pretty ****, frankly. Would need plenty of beating to get it to fit right. I've turned out not to actually need it as it happens, but I dare say it would cost me twice as much to ship it as it does them, so probably couldn't get it to you much cheaper unless you happened to be passing through Devon...

I recently bought a pair of outer repair panels (inner pair on order) from Mike Feeney, and believe Mike would sell the best available (theyre from MSA) so I'd go there first.

:)

We have stock. Also sill panels for coupe and inner rear wheel arches (one pair only). There are other hand made panels available - call to discuss.

Thanks to all responses ~ gut reactions confirmed.

@Mike ~ will PM you with order for new bits, once list finalised!

A couple of pics of the rear inner panels that I got from Mike - very happy with then.

Are your rear outer arches Tabco as well Mike? I might need a passenger side over the next month or so, not sure yet. The Tabco stuff is top notch, the Hadrian ones aren't even close to the right shape!

The tabco ones are good, I ordred some from MSA and they offered a discount and sensible post too.

I've a genuine NOS inner wing panel but only need a patch from it so might make one up to save cutting mine up.

Hi Mike
Will the inner arches fit a 2+2 and do you have any passenger side inner arches left.
Also what price are they?
Cheers
Andrew

can those be modified to fit

Although the outer circumference will be the same, I think the 2+2 is wider and taller in the middle join. I have no direct experience in using these panels on a 2+2...
