Thanks Sean!! Now back on....and dont know why!!:conf2:
I suspect that Russ has sorted the problem, but DJZ60 has given me a workaround (using proxy server settings) if anyone else has a similar problem....... not that they can read this post tho'

It's bizarre and I don't understand why some ISPs appear to block the zclub.net domain. It all happened when we moved hosts, and I heard a rumour from somewhere a domain could be blacklisted. Originally had the trouble with NTL users, are there any here?

Yes Me! This Website is definately blocked by the previous servers,& when I could'nt log on a message came up to the effect off Website Violation, &
possibly someone got the hump as you changed host's.
They then try to get their own back by blocking whomever they can,&
creating Proxy server nightmares.
I have various Proxy servers codes & will put them on this site, all
should note them down...for future 'two fingers' to the previous host's.

Me... I was NTL for ages, site always worked fine. I'm on Telewest now (which is almost the same) and I get on fine.

Tell them to open the command prompt and type "ping www.zclub.net" will tell you if their machine can at least see the site.

Then get them to check for spyware, then find out the ip of the zclub server. Add it to the Hosts file.

If not there's always other servers to go through.

The people involved should contact their isps though.

Mark: Done that, it can't see anything, it's as if the DNS server they use doesn't have an entry for our domain, but I registered it as a TUCOWS reseller myself, and it's all pukka. ISPs are sods to get hold of these days as well.

Like the hosts file idea, I can write a program for that and e-mail it to people probably.

My ISP said that if I could log on via a proxy server it would be my web site blocking my access and not them (ie the ISP). I tried it and immediately got onto the site. :conf2:
A ping of the z club site returned 100% loss i.e. couldn't see the web site. I had been able to log onto the site for last 2 years plus untill it suddenly stopped. Not even an error message on the web page - just total blank page!
Anyway at least I'm back now & hopefully anyone else can use the proxy server way if affected in the same way..

very weird.

Whats the site ip? Just add a how to... should be easy to add one line to the hosts file.

Although if they can't ping the url it might not work with the ip too... we'll only know when someone tries it! :)

I once had a resolution issue with a group of machines running 2k on a medium sized domain "ipconfig /flushdns" worked a treat.

I went through all that with DJ when he was the first person to have the problem. I literally tried everything you can do to XP, apart from forcing it to use an IP, and nothing helped.

I'd sooner write a program than how to, it's a lot easier :)
