Hi all

Sorry been busy so not been here fer ages!...had the clutch done, relined cheap as chips....anyway quick question:

I know the standard plugs for a 2.8 are the BPR6ES-11 but I've been using the BPR7ES-11 variety as on tick over I'm running a little rich etc (WILL recitfy when I got the swag fer a rolling rd)...these have been OK for a while but I'm still getting clogged up from time to time (even though plug colour is GOOD) and was thinking of trying the BPR8ES-11.

Will it be detramental in any way to performance or is it worth a go until I can sort the obvious setting up of carbs properly problem?

Ta again Si

I went up to BPR7ES on my 240 Sam but it had a tendancy to oil up sometimes when started from cold if I had to toss it instead of getting going. So going up to a 8 is a definate no-no.

With NGK plugs, the higher the number, the colder the plug. Hence will foul more easily as they are for higher output/ more revs applications!!!
Stick with heat range 6 if you are on a std or mild tune spec engine.
Good luck,
Mark.
