ok people whats the story. with the onset of summer and all the car shows, race meets, hillclimbs, rallies, local club runs and cars appearing after a winter rebuild we ought to be swamped with good photo's of your pride and joy to go on the gallery. I think that the rally and race drivers will back me up when I say that no matter how hard I try I just dont seem to be able to get a decent photo of my Z in action cos I am strapped into the seat and my arm isnt long enough to hold the camara far enough away to get the shot. Therefore it is unfortunately down to some helpful supporter or spectator to get those action shots of the mighty Z's out performing many modern cars as well as the 70's and 80's sports cars. Now I know that would mean that you would have to attend a race or rally meeting somewhere in the country and it might even be in an area that doesnt have street lights but the locals are normally well behaved when they see one of them new fangled horseless carriages going through thier village. They have even been cases of hospitality being extended to visitors stopping at the local for a bit of refreshment but that is rare and unconfirmed. I have heard that it is also possible to take pictures with a camara at the many car shows that are going on throughout the summer. But again that is only rumour. I am almost tempted to suggest to Mr Burns that he offer a prize to anybody sending in a picture of a Z (complete with a brief caption ie who's car , where it is etc) but i fear that the rush of photo's coming in would cause the old bugger's ticker to miss a beat with the thought of all the goodies he would have to give away. Maybe a prize for the most unusual or embarrassing Z photo would be tempting enough to generate a slight rise in interest in the club site gallery( your chance to show the WORLD your Z or another club member driving thiers) got to go and have a cold shower now to unwind  bye

I had posted some pics before but found no way to edit the captions. Also the gallery (and the site in general) is very slow in comparison to many other sites so (personally speaking) it is less than a pleasure and more of a chore to come here. Nevertheless, as a loyal Z Club member, I will keep trying.

After each rally we usually get sent a few proofs of photos by the professionals who are out on the stages.  They are, however, pretty keen on their copyright and that limits how they can be used.
I have been having quite a hard time getting pics even for the magazine and the "Rally Scene" pages look pretty dull without them.  Hopefully, I have done a couple of deals to ensure that we shall be more colourful again in the future.

If you care to browse through the historic events such as the Robin Hood or the Astra stages pics on www.sc-photography.co.uk you will find some good 240Z pics.

Just to bring you up-to-date, we have seen 4 Z's out on the last 2 rounds of the British Historic Championship with all finishing.  Dominic Frattaroli, who's car was on the NEC stand last Nov. is a front runner followed by Tony Fall. They were joined by Debby & I on both the Welsh Rally and the Mutiny Rally.  Mike Collins was also out on the tarmac of the Welsh, and Graham Woodhouse on the Mutiny which was a forest gravel event also in Wales.

Next chance to see Z's on the tarmac stages is the Jim Clark Memorial Rally based in Duns in the Scottish Borders on 5-6th July.  Come and say hello at the start or service area in Duns, or the finish at Edinburgh's Ocean Terminal.  Event website is www.jcmr.u-net.com
