Must be mad, but laid out the deposit for the fully optioned, azure blue, hopefully for October delivery.
As you may appreciate, Chelmsford is not the centre of the car universe, but these guys at Glyn Hopkin took at least TEN orders today! I have also had calls from two other members who have laid down the readies! One of these was the third to place an order at his dealership....

As already mentioned, I must be mad. Order basic in Chilli Red.

For info there are 400 for Oct/Nov 03 delivery but around half are for dealer demos and promotional cars.

In 2004 there are approx 1200 but they expect these to be sold within a couple of days.

Rob - I assume you mean Billing next year. None of us will even have a picture of our car by July, let alone the real thing - no deliveries until October 1st at earliest.

I understand that all 450 initial models were sold within the first hour of official order time, i.e. by 4-50 pm Monday. Some sources are suggesting that it may have been as little as half an hour.....

As of this afternoon, Nissan had still not confirmed to their dealers whether the allocations ordered would actually be fulfilled, i.e. those who have ordered don't really know if they will get a car.....

The suggestion is that there will be no more available until at least April 2004.

The Sales Manager at Nissan in Banbury was saying that they had taken one order this week for a 350z, but that the initial allocation of 450 has to include dealers cars and press cars too!

My local dealer confirmed today that I have order number 210 even though they placed their orders on the dot at 3-50 pm on Monday 17th. Apparently the response of the Nissan computer was not fast enough to cope with the load and some dealers sent duplicate orders as no confirmation was received, assuming that the first had not gone through. Nissan then had to phone all the dealers who had placed orders to confirm the actual number required!

It was also (unofficially) confirmed that 50 units are designated press and dealer demonstration cars. My dealer has eight branches - they are getting ONE demonstrator.

I ordered same as Mike F - GT with Rays. I was told by a non Z club member who ordered a 350Z that he was informed only GT orders would be fulfilled, and that 451 cars would come in this year, but maybe delivered as late as December. He also said 50 cars had been allocated demos, but if someone could demonstrate they had unfairly not received a car due to a screw up they may be able to get one from the 50 allocation.
Still not had order confirmed as Mike has.

Just to let you know that Nissan are now confirming orders that have been allocated. These are for delivery Q1 04. Unlikely to know exact timings until around Oct time.

So if there are 450 cars available and 50 go to dealers and press, doesn't that mean you miss out by 2?

Placed my order yesterday, whey hey!

Sold my Z32, heart breaking.

Can't believe I have to wait a year now.

Azure Blue, base with Rays. &nbsp;Delivery Q1 '04 apparently. &nbsp;The dealer said that 350 orders were taken in the 1st 16 minutes and the remainder in 1st half hour. &nbsp;The Orange leather on the GT is available only on Black, Sunset or Gunmetal. &nbsp;He said dealers were only going to get demonstrators if any of the initial allocation was left over. &nbsp;Not the case now so they won't be getting one.
