Hi I have just sent cheque to join you at the z club so am a new member with as yet no knowledge of 240/260zs. As a further handicap I am useless with mechanics so what I want done will be at local garages or spray shops.
First were any “Datsun“240/260 zs exported to South Africa from Japan (or elsewhere) if so are they the same as UK spec cars.
No2 Is there anyone who knows of a South African exporter of classic cars or is New Zealand or Australia best for rust free 240/260zs cars that drive on the right.
No 3 More power or larger engines. It seems to me that to put a 2.8 0r 3.0 datsun engine in a 240/260 does not without totally up-rating said engine with lots of go faster parts have much effect (ie max 600cc). The yanks list conversions with ford and chevy V8s but what about rover 3.9 fuel injected V8 or are they to light in weight. What about a Jag XK 3.8/4.0 ? I like the enquiry about a jag V12 but I suspect once shoe horned in the problem would be getting the power on to the road
