One of the most interesting pm conversations I've had recently on this forum was about music (hi, Mick). Now both he and I could have googled and found sites about the artist/genre but those places probably know zip about Zs. Anyhow, I don't really want to chat to someone who's got their head up their backside about genre A or genre B. But I do enjoy shooting the breeze with fellow Zedders about what they like.

So how about a Music forum? It's something about which we can disagree violently - while at the same time staying 100% in agreement about how good Z/ZXs are :D

And if t'committee like this, here's a kick-off: what is the "best" track for each model? Imagine your perfect driving day; your perfect driving companion; and your Zed. What's on the stereo?

My fave driving track in my Z32 is "dreams" by fleetwood Mac, the whole rumours album in fact:)

And a good idea too Gio!

Getting off the ferry in France and hitting those lovely empty roads
Chris
Z32 SWB NA
Kylie, anything but "can't get you out of my head" is best
and as Zedhead says, drive over the limit and play it loud

on my recent visit to those lovely big wide open (ooerr) French roads, my girlfriend played 2 of Richard Ashcrofts solo albums, which went very well with the torquey little beauty.

Simon 'its still for sale' Adams

why spoil the musical tones from the exhaust
a sweet 6 note or whatever you run i'd luv a V8 but only got a 6 pot
there is no stereo in my zed , i like the sound she makes
but if i had to listen to a music track at speed it would probably be
bat outa hell

Dream Theater (yes that IS how they spell it), Steve Marriot, Joe Satriani, Accept or any manner of things loud.

Motley Crue, Ozzy, Yngwie J Malmsteen.......

In quieter mood, Free, Bad Company, even Jamie Cullum

Blink 182! On a similar note I'm learning guitar at the moment and my fingers hurt!

Have almost finished learning my first song Chris Issac's Wicked game. Am only in playing as I'm waiting for the stopper to dry and its a bit cold tonight so I've been waiting bloody ages!

Wes

hehehe... no one here listen to new music?! :D

I've got the Killers album on at the minute...

I generally just burn an mp3 CD and stick it on random... 400+ songs per disc! :D

New music is good - Good Charlotte, Blink 182, Greenday....how about the supreme Rammstein ??

Actually, I have to say that on the motorway I can't hear the stereo anyway. A 2.8 shovelling large amounts of gas down a 2.5" tube makes waaaay to much noise!

if i had a stereo in my car it would have to be THE DATSUN'S and ZZTOP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but in my everyday car i have SLIPKNOT and KASABIAN at the moment

Awesome song but many nights ?????????? VERY easy riff :D Love your taste in music

'Songs for the deaf' by Queens of the Stone Age is a terrific driving album IMHO, however a bit of early punk, I found, always amuses on a long journeys, something from the Anti-Nowhere League or the Pistol's is good.
For excersing your bass boxes it's got to be early dance though ,Lords of Acid, Electroset, T99, Hypersonic, KLF, New Atlantic...... oh those clubbing days!

 apart from my own choice , the James bond theme and bat outa hell I've never heard of any of the rest of these tunes.............excuse me while i crawl out of my shell:D .....hang on, think i'll go back in and listen to the deer hunter.....ahhh...much better
