The photographer and I spent a lot of time sorting out interesting new parts, range of body panels, photographing the "neater" shelves (there are some), visiting the workshop I use where my 350 was in prep - the mag editor obviously had another image in mind and used the dusty cars in storage and the scruffiest shelves of secondhand parts in disarray. Journalism - pah! I now have the joy of anticipation of what they are going to do with my 350Z article planned for a future issue.....
The red 240Z trapped in the depths of my caverns is ready for liberation. It is basically a sound, tax-exempt 240Z which needs carbs and distributor refitting, tyres pumping up and using! Oh - and it has no bumpers. This car was sold by the previous owner while in storage with me and the new owner hasn't even been to see it again, let alone fix it and use it. Sensible offers invited from someone prepared to help move three years accumulation of parts to release it into the natural sunlight that it hasn't seen for that period of time.
You will notice that Clive Standish's 240Z V8 is still here, due to be MOT'd again (no problem here), free tax disc reinstated (another tax-exempt car) - price could be discussed for this excellent structure. Could be returned to near standard or used as aa ideal basis for a track tool. Take out the V8, put in a strong L-series. Or go mad and use it as the core of a Chevy hybrid. Get rid of the rear spoiler and probably the G-nose, leave the arches and go terrorise the neighbourhood. Call to discuss the liberation of this fine beast....
N0, my 280ZX is not for sale (unless you have extremely deep pockets with which to tempt me).
