Lubricating squeaky urethane bushes????????

Just a thought because the urethane bushes under the back of my 240 are driving me mad and I don't fancy taking it all apart and probably having to put another set of spindle pins back in, but is there any way to lubricate the damn things once they've been installed? For example, would it be possible to use a narrow drill between the bush and the metal and make a couple of small holes that a lubricant could be squeezed into? Would that then lubricate the bush as it moved or would it compromise the bush?

Stupid idea or "why didn't I think of that"?
