Finally got rid of those rubbish j-spec lap belts in the rear of my car and installed proper 3 point ones. Now ill be happy to allow my kids in the car :)

Hi,
How easy was it?
When I had my Jap spec Z32 a few years ago, I thought about doing the same and I was told that the bolt holes are already in place under the trims,so to fit the 3 point belts in place of the lap belts shouldn't be too bad?

Nice one, I can't fully relax when I bring the kids for a spin, knowing those silly little belts are basically useless in a collision. As Jez said, is there much to it?

nope its really simple.
Remove Rear Seats
Remove Lower Rear Trim Section
Remove trim from rear speaker area.
remove t tops to geto screw to allow removal of upper trim section
fit belt in hole nearest front seats and bolt in.
fit to lap belt bolt also.
drill hole in top trim to allow top seatbelt mount to go through and into the correct hole.
swap over center buckles mount thingies
replace remainder of trim
job done.
