Gurston finals

Just had the final round of the gurston hillclimb championship. Dee set a new PB on the last run of the season beating one of the 3.9 v8 MGB drivers. YES YES YES
76 mph through hollow speed trap and then 81 through the finish line is not for the faint hearted by any stretch of the imagination as those that have driven at gurston will I am sure agree. She was consistantly pulling 2.4 seconds for the 64 ft times. I have to admit that the smile on her face when she got back to the paddock was one of the highlights of the season for me.
I finally got to grips with not braking for hollow and even sorted out the braking for the entry to karousel but all far too late in the season. Got the class win for the year so really am pleased with what has been a developement year gathering data for the engine builder to play with when we put the engine on the dyno over the closed season.
Ken has put in solid drives all year to get 2nd place and has not let me sit back and take it easy.
All in all another cracking season of hillclimbs at Gurston. Hope to get to a few more next year work permitting.

Excellent, glad to hear Dee has done so well and the car is obviously looking promising for next season :) When does it start again?

starts for us in april at gurston. Ken is running at longleat this month and I think has a sprint to do at coombe in oct.
