It is a reasonable budget, but sometimes its worth spending more and you might spend less in the future. I spent 3 years looking for the right one and after seeing some average ones I got one not perfect, but spent more. I like you had a budget. It seems just as hard now as then, just be patient

I don't think its a silly budget at all. However having seen what you don't want to see on a car you're going to buy(if that reads right!?) I can't see you getting what you want for the budget or maybe you have to compromise somewhere?

Oh i totally agree... I have bought a few of those in the past of other marques!
Clean body/shell. The rest of the things i can do myself, to a degree... i enjoy working fixing the wee niggly bits...
