not wanting to harp on about the same old subject, (my restoration probs) but I have to say this.

2, i cant agree with you, when you say that i shouldve gone into it more (or words to this affect, cant be bothered to look back at the other thread), its like this, Your an expert on motors, you work for the biggest motoring organisation in the world, its your life, and your extremely well knowledgable on the subject, you breathe it every day. Most do not however, and those in this category are basically in the same category as you would be if you were buying say an oriental rose garden that needed constant tendering.
You would be in the hands of the horticulturalist (i think) from start to finish. Okay, you do some homework to establish what you want in that garden, but the technical stuff you know sod all about.
Thats what it is like for most people when it comes to mechanical car probs, if they have no previous.
This is exactly why I chose a specialist company to provide me with what I wanted. I know there are limits to any spend, but the gist of it is, I was provided with a spec which included a bare metal respray. I know for a fact I didnt get that. Now, I could live with the fact that I have been taken for a charlie, provided it didnt present any problems.

What I cant accept is that I am being told, that is was a bare metal job, and am now being told that they will not undertake anymore repairs. That is not acceptable. I have proof that the car was not rubbed down to bare metal, because the damn paint peeled off in the summer sun, and revealed bright red glossy original colour underneath, that hadnt even been prepped for top coat, let alone primer.
I tell you Paul, I could cry when I think that the project I longed for has been bodged. Im not really bothered if anyone is goading me into complaining, and sitting back waiting to laugh. I have no time for such arseholes, I have a very flimsy temper as you probably now know, and would invite these types to give me a call me anytime. I am also not bothered if anyone connected to the resto company read my threads, perhaps they may feel embarrassed enough to change their minds, who knows. Anyway thats another story, your a decent chap, I know that, weve had our exchanges on here, deletion of threads etc, but thats on the chin. I just want you to understand my reasons for criticising the work done on my car, and accept it.
