Could people who are posting up photos in the gallery please enter thier photos in the correct section ie 260Z/300ZX etc as although the photos will still be in your gallery they then would be also in the correct section which makes it easier for a casual user to see the model they prefer
Thanks

Steve, is there any reason why we need that "Member Galleries" option, since they'll show up there anyway? I just uploaded several pix and kept forgetting to select the correct section, as it defaults on "Member Galleries" (I went back and moved them all to where they need to be). If the "Member Galleries" option wasn't there, that might help. Or, if you could just get it to not default on a particular section, it'd force us to pick one (hopefully the correct one - lol). :p

***Gawd, I love that pig! Hahahaha!

Oh, gosh, you guys are so bayud! :p So, Steve, is there any way to remove the automatic default, so that it'll actually force us to select a section from the drop-down menu? :)

Hmmm, I read your post via email notification but still don't see it here, Steve. Oh, yeah, I know Henry and Mary. Henry is our Georgia Z Club president, and I've been an officer of the club for the past 5+ years, but just resigned last month cuz I'm moving to Cali. It's interesting that you know them ... being all the way over there. :p

Ok...

If I took the time to remove the members gallery option from the uploads it'd just default to 240z or something, then that'd get full of photos instead.

We could just rope some helpful forum members into sifting through the photos from time to time. In all reality though this is a problem we're not going to fix any sense, its pretty much the nature of the beast :(

Hmmm, I take it that the default can't be removed. How about changing the name from "Member Galleries" in the drop-down menu to "Select a Category" and remove the routing in the code, so that it'll default on it instead, and the system will reject the upload if no category is chosen, cuz it'll have no valid gallery in which to save the photo, and would show the user an error message?

TBH, most people i assume cant be botherd to class each pic. i think the only way is for the person that approves the pic is to make sure its put in the relavent area..... does that make scense?

Grolls: That's a good point :) Something I should be doing.

I'm reluctant to fiddle too much with the photopost coding, as every change I make is another thing that needs to be done when I upgrade the software (which happens every couple of months). Basically any changes I code now will have to be applied to the updated software each time.

I maybe able to do something where I can generate a page of uncatergorised images, and then quickly run through them putting them in appropriate places, then as Grolls says if we (admin) always chose a category for the photo we will keep on top of it.

cheers
