Mr.G Club Member Sep 26, 2006 #2 Are you sure the fumes are not coming in from the rear lamp seals? They usually perish and allow fumes from the exhaust in. Are your revs low? Could be down to your idle needing adjusting or possibly a dirty fuel filter rathern then the fuel cap.

Ped Club Member Sep 26, 2006 #3 The fuel smell is coming from the cap area, it look like the previous owner tried some dodgy repair with gunk!
