For sale on e-bay 240z

Cheers !

That sort of makes sense and was about where I am seeing the car .

I appreciate originality and low ownership are desirable along with a wad of history .

This car has none of those attributes however seems a good solid car worth loving and working with in the price range ..............

Will keep you posted !

Cheers .

I don't think it could be valued without seeing it:unsure:

So you can't really put a value on it without seeing it, under it, in it. So on that basis i'd say £12.5k:D
it's Christmas time and winter season which isn't the best time to sell cars, especially classics...., I would say an offer between £9k-£10k would secure it:smash::cheers::thumbs:

Hmmmm

Back in September 2012 Classic & Sportscar ran a feature on the 240 and stated :

"You can revise that now to £25,000-plus for a minter, £15k for a nice one and and £8000 for a scruffy US import."

So I think somewhere between 8 and 15 k , bearing in mind values on the increase since 2012 .

Practical classics price guide states the following

Dealer £14000
Cond 1 £ 10000
Cond 2 £ 5500
Cond 3 £3500

I think they are a bit off the mark bearing in mind the top ones at 22- 25 k.

The last two posts are right on the money.

As usual, the 'lower end' Magazines are five years out of date - if I could buy a good RHD for £10k, I would have a couple of dozen of them.....and retire on the profits.

Yes their price guide is very optimistic when you look through it and then try find cars at those prices / condition ratings !

The C&SC prices always seem to be pretty accurate.

I was looking into sourcing a 70's Aston V8 however they have gone silly and there are speculators snapping anything up at 30k and re offering at 40-45 k !

Such a shame but this was part of the realisation that I'd be better off looking at a budget of about 15k for a 240 which makes far more sense all round in terms of purchase and running whilst probably being more enjoyable to own and drive !
