I go to quite a lot of car shows in the summer, and I’m usually the only 240Z in attendance. I did one at a place called Stokesley recently and they had Derek Mathewson judging. Out of 500 or so cars he had to choose the three that he would most like to have in his auction. I wouldn’t argue with the great man’s final choices
And in my ongoing quest to show the world the wonders of the Z cars…Hebden Bridge Classics Show at the weekend duly obliged with trophy. Only managed third in class this time, but some stiff opposition in a field of about 70 - all post war cars ‘66 - ‘77. Managed to seat the RS Escorts and Big Healeys aside, but got downed by a cracking Lancia Fulvia Zagato and a Simon Templar type Volvo, the estate version.
