Early Z

I have an Australian delivered 240 body No 396. Are these the same as early European and US cars with vented tail gate and 2 levers on the consol ? Are ther any other changes?

Yes I beleive it is. You will also have a bag type thing behind the passenger seat (or is it drivers seat??) that will contain the jack and spanner. The later cars had cubby holes located in the floor of the boot instead. Oy yeah and no air vent by the Z badge near the rear window.

I think the Ozzy cars were more like the Euro cars then the US cars for instance I think they had our style of indicators,  mounted on the bumpers unlike the US ones which fitted flush into the body.

Ooops!

I forgot to say Cogratulations on the new purchase, hope it arrives safely. Real low no. too. <img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Thanks for that.
I'm in Australia.
The indicators are under the bumpers with no repeaters on the wings.

Whereabouts in Oz are you Nick?? My girlfriend is there at the mo. Post some pics of the car, i'm sure we'll all wanna see her.

Nick,

It sounds like you have the best project for a lot of fun. Not only that but you'll learn a hell of alot more about the car then say me, who doesnt have to do anything to it! (I'm not complaining!! <img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> )

Keep an eye out in the For sale section for any interior bits you cant find in Oz.

Nick,
look after that car - there aren't many of the 'first five hundred' left standing in Oz. Try & repair any panels you can - the tailgates are almost impossible to find.
