Not too much rust by the looks of it which is good. There isn’t one thing on the whole car that doesn’t need looking at though ( like most resto projects in fairness) ...

That engine and bay would clean up well with a thorough clean.

That looks like an excellent, dry state, project car IMO. Ideal for a sympathetic, complete restoration to near standard or fast road spec. At least that's what I'd do with it. Price probably not unreasonable these days as a starting point for haggling/offers, given its a complete, unmolested 70-71 version.

I’ve made an offer on this, don’t know why but it’s a reasonable clean car. Suspect he has a few offers and it’s why he hasn’t got back to me yet.... think my offer was more than fair though..!

If your offer hasn’t been accepted can you share what it was? Someone told me once that your first offer should be embarrassing, but I can’t remember whether the object under discussion was a car or house ...

If I wanted it I'd get a phone number out of him. From the photos it looks like it's worth very close to the asking price so I'd want to seal a deal - these cars are rare and appreciate so no risk really. If I wasn't that keen I'd make a speculative offer and probably lose it.

Anyway do we think it's had a towbar - what's the metal on the back behind the bumper.

But his phone number is on the advert?

I’ve hopefully bought it now so won’t be discussing what I paid - it’s subject to viewing but deposit paid and viewing Friday - assuming all is as described I think it was a more than fair price for a car that looks to be extremely complete and a good base..!

Fair play then for getting it if you do - it looks to be all there are the very least.

Probably is a few things missing (like the rear screen chrome window trim in the top passenger corner) but looks good! I'll update after checking it over with some more pictures.
