Drive conversion

As I've used all my spare cv shafts I thought I'd have a go at converting as auto shaft to manual. I have a brand new auto shaft and a couple of manual ones with broken center shafts. My plan was to swap over the splined part that goes into the diff. There's a thread on the net showing how the inner boot is replaced and that's pretty much what I did. I've included a before and after pic.

Good Job, Hopefully my Z31T shafts should hold up better than your 280ZX ones have been.

Ian - I should have gone down that route. The 2 I have broken were both second hand. The one I just replaced has been leaking grease from the inner joint and has a lot of play in it so I thought it wise to swap it out before it lets me down. I am now running with one new shaft and the one I've just built.

I now have a drivers side spare that will get me home so I could also do with a spare for the passenger side .
