Carrera Panamericana

Hi All,

In 18 months I turn 50 and as a classic mid life crisis present to myself, I am looking into the possibility of entering the 2020 Carrera Panamericana.

This is a long shot but I wondered if any knows of someone that has previously entered, or of a mechanic that has prepared a Z for the event?

Good luck. Have you entered events in this country e.g. HERO events. HERO now run ERA events too i.e. the long foreign events.

As a matter of interest I'm attending a navigation training day of their's near Bicester on Friday. It's mainly a social thing but I'm hoping to refresh my memory and also learn more about their events.

Hi Nick, can't help you in terms of entrants however in terms of preparing a car for an event such as that you won't got wrong by speaking to Fourways Engineering. I'm sure they'd be able to help you out with preparing a car....

Thanks Rob,

I used to do some tarmac rallying and have done some independent long distance events but nothing with the likes of ERA.

I think I am right in saying they use regularity timed sections etc rather than special stages on closed roads against the clock.

Either way, I'm sure tomorrow will fun!
