I can not post on the 'What's happening' Thread.

Well it should be no different that any other thread? What can't you do? Is there no reply button? Does it say you don't have permission?

YES. I dont have permission. I spent 4 hour's writing
out the ultimate solution & then I was halted.
Trouble is I cant remember what I wrote.
I tried twice....................................DJZ 60.:rolleyes:
 
That's bizarre. Can you have another try and post me the error message it gives you please?

It work's with one word... could be the larger italic's I use
& possibly a vast quantity of these large italic's may cause it
I will try the smaller No.2 italic's tommorrow..Cheerzzz DJZ 60.:cool:
 
Does it say something about post length? It should give you a message I'd have thought.

I had the same problem...typed out a long reply, only for it to disappear!...should have saved it!...I hope Albrecht saved his post which I just deleted by mistake! :eek:

I posted on the' what's happening ' thread today,
& it's true that funny thing's happen on the web.Post's will
disappear,possibly restriction on length,type size,etc.
Both electro & sometimes human error.

'Cant' stop my fluctuating,length though..........DJZ 60.:D
 
Well done :) Just try to remember to copy anything big before you post in case your connection has dropped or the site goes down for some reason.

I've just doubled the maximum post size to 20000 characters as well :)

The pope get's in more trouble then I do nowaday's,I now help
ladies across the road,& am reformed,reprogrammed,reactivated
& ready to go.

It's something to do with your pc mate, the board works fine for the rest of us and you're in the members group same as everyone else so you have the same permissions etc. I can't think what would be causing it though :(

Try going to tools -> internet options -> delete files & delete cookies. You'll lose your passwords (automatic login) for all sites if you delete cookies so beware of that, make sure you know your passwords :)

Also need to be sure your machine is up to date, when was the last time you visited http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com? :)

They might not help but its worth a shot.

Thank's for reply. My computer is finely tuned,updated,defragmented,
When I post anything of length,on submiting,I come up as 'I'm not logged in'
followed by:You are not logged in,too short,too fat,too thin etc.
I've twice lost my lengthy braindraining contribution to whatever thread.
It is annoying,especially when I WAS logged on in the first place.
P.S was it your birthday recently?,if so belated Birthday wishes going out
to you, I saw on the 'today's birthday' thing but was'nt sure if Russell shown
was ' The Russ' Web bodgenator...............DJZ 60.:cool:
 
Glad to hear you pc is up to scratch.

I doubled max post size to 20k characters, say 5 characters per word average is 4000 words! Surely you never break that!

Try going tools -> internet options -> security and setting all to default security.

My birthday isn't until June but thanks anyway :)

Next time it happens can you copy and paste the error message to me please.
