Cam Cover Gasket

Routinely needed and obviously a service item but increasingly (and frustratingly) difficult to obtain. The more modern preformed 'fibre' type, if you can get them seem very fragile (unlike the older cork ones which could cope with one or two re-uses) and I wonder how effective the easily available 'in a tube' seals are? Anyone any experience .

I think Mike at MJP has them in stock, I have just ordered one for myself.
Last one I got I think was made of a silcone rubber of some kind?

Nissan OEM are rigid fibre type. Stick it to the cover and just a smear around the face to head. Will come on and off a few times before replacing. They are quite expensive now and can't be shipped economically by post (too long for the new regs).
I have one in stock currently - more to come...
IMO the cork version is next to useless and is easily squashed out of shape if rocker bolts rae over-tightened.

Mike, I'll relieve you of it if the OP doesn't want it. Let me know.

They are regular turnover stock - just call when you are ready. Best shipped with other items to ease the hurt of courier charge!
