Bonnet Badge

My 240Z was bought without the round Datsun badge on the bonnet and the holes have been filled in. I have acquired a badge off E Bay could someone please tell me the distance it wants to be from the front edge of the bonnet to the bottom of the badge?

Can't you see the original holes from underneath the bonnet?

No Nigel it's double skinned

Approximately 68mm from the front edge of the bonnet to the bottom of the badge (see attached photograph).

Yes, but you should just be able to see them thro the hole in the inner skin.

No problem, just be careful with the drill on that shiny red paintwork!

You still need to be able to see the original holes if possible otherwise you'll end up with holes twice the size you actually need drilling so close to the original. For the record I make it about 71mm to the bottom of the badge. There's your problem.

You very often see 2 lengths of filler hanging down in there.
