Okay guys, I am posting a reminder of the rules of the ZClub forum and its use. This is to help protect both members and traders who use the site from any sort of libel action (which is something we'd all like to avoid!).

Disclaimer
ZClub.net is the website service of the Z Club of Great Britain (The Z Club). Nothing in these pages constitutes legal or specialist advice. You should consult a suitably qualified specialist on any specific problem or matter.

1. The Z Club makes no warranties, representations or undertakings about :-

• any of the content of this web site (including, without limitation, any as to the quality, accuracy, completeness or fitness for any particular purpose of such content); or
• any content of any other web site referred to or accessed by hypertext link through this web site ("3rd party site").

2. The Z Club does not endorse or approve the content of any 3rd party site, nor will The Z Club have any liability in connection with any of them (including, but not limited to, liability arising out of any allegation that the content of any 3rd party site infringes any law or the rights of any person or entity).

3. Although the administrators and moderators of The Z Club will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and The Z Club will NOT be held responsible for the content of any message.

4. By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.

5. The owners of The Z Club reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.

6. The Z Club accepts no responsibility for any transaction that occurs as a direct or indirect result of an advert placed on this forum.

7. The Z Club cannot and will not vouch for any goods or services sold or purchased.
That's the general disclaimer that you have to pay attention to when joining. Pretty standard stuff but very much an important part of precedings

General Rules & Procedures
Please read this, as by making use of the Z Club forum you are acknowledging that you have read, understood and agreed to abide by the rules of this Club and accept the disclaimer at ZClub.net - Disclaimer. It is our intention that the forum is a place for fun, information and light-hearted enjoyment; this should not however come at the cost of ignoring the rights and sensibility of others. Please be helpful and respectful to other forum members.

If you find that someone has broken posting rules, rather than biting back and potentially getting yourself in trouble, it's far better to report the offending post and we can sort it out for you.

The basic rules are as follows:

1. Keep your replies on topic.
The technical threads should be a safe harbour for sharing and archiving quality information. Continued off topic replies will be removed or censored by the administration. Do not continue to banter on about irrelevant things once the original discussion is over. Random posts at the end of threads will be deleted.
2. The following will not be tolerated.
i) Inflammatory responses
ii) Use of inappropriate language
iii) Harassment of other members
iv) Name calling
v) Picking fights
vi) Inciting arguments
vii) Posts / links of a sexist, sexual, lewd, explicit or racist nature

3. Threads that turn into arguments / flame wars will not be tolerated.

4. General spamming is not allowed.

5. Potentially libellous threads will not be tolerated.

6. Harassment of another user through the PM system will not be tolerated.

7. Advertising and sale of illegal bootleg material (such as copyright video, music and computer software) is not allowed.

8. Use of the private messaging (PM) system by unsubscribed traders is not allowed.

Initial Duties of the Moderators:

Threads will be moved if:
1. The thread clearly belongs in another part of the forum.

2. When the topic moves onto a subject more appropriate to another part of the forum

3. The thread is deemed too “silly” for the content of other forums where it will then be moved to “Anything and Everything” and monitored accordingly.

Threads will be deleted by a moderator if they are deemed to contravene any of the basic rules outlined above.

Disciplinary Procedure:

The Z Club reserves the right to edit, delete or move any posts that are deemed unsuitable for the forum. The Z club reserves the right to remove any forum user’s access and / or delete all of his / her posts. This may be done without consultation or recourse.

Failure to abide by the rules and regulations will result in a warning or immediate ban depending upon the severity of the offence. Users who persist in breaking Z Club forum policy will be banned from the forum.

Moderators are here to monitor and if necessary edit, move, lock or delete posts in order to protect the integrity of the Z Club forum. Moderators follow a strict set of guidelines. When a post is moved, edited, deleted by the moderators it should not be regarded as a direct or personal attack on a particular individual.

As a general rule three warnings will be given to an offender followed by a permanent ban if the warnings continue to be ignored The Z Club reserves the right to an immediate ban if the moderators feel it is needed.

First offence – User reminded of rules and regs
Second offence – one-week ban
Third offence – one month ban
Fourth offence – permanent ban

A ban will remain on file for three months. After that period the ban is removed. At least four moderators will decide upon a permanent ban.
A User who has received a ban will be notified by an e-mail from the Moderators, which will state the reason for and duration of the ban.

Should you receive a warning or temporary ban that you feel was not warranted you may appeal the decision by contacting the Moderators via e-mail at webmaster@zclub.net within seven days of the incident.

At least three moderators will adjudicate the appeal. Their decision will be final and will be communicated back to you.

If there is any problem or disagreement with decisions do not make a ‘flame post’. This will not enhance your case and will be immediately removed. No public discussion will be entered into and any post intended to highlight or publicise the incident will be removed immediately. If the offender persists, this will result in suspension of their account to restore order to the forum.
If anyone has any issue with these rules / procedures then please don't hesitate in contacting me by PM or email (jaktheruby@yahoo.co.uk). Like I've said, these things are in place to protect both members and traders alike.

Many thanks,
Jak
