I actually find myself hurrying home from work just to read this thread. It sure makes my day in my mundane little life when I get home to discover another 3 or 4 pages of bickering. I honestly cannot wait to see what is going to happen when the bodywork is started.

By the way, I am Team Don all the way. Always root for the underdog.

Whatever your view of the events to date, the one thing you can confidently say is that this thread is far from dull!! :)

Have you considered the possibility of rooting for the car...?

I think our friend Antonio may have taken the O2 campaign slogan "be more dog" a little bit too literally.

Lol at albrecht..

This guy must write lines before he goes to bed!

:)

Too good!

Going rub down and paint the wheels in a dark anthracite colour...

Should make them look a bit deeper.....

:)

Best thread since I've joined the Club!

The expectation of "Which mundane part is our excited puppy going to tart up next?"

When with the shell story reach it's highly anticipated climax?

What will the World's Best ever 2+2 actually look like?

Will Albrecht and Don ever agree?

And finally, the ultimate anti-climax, will he ever say "Eff, you ole b*ggers, I'm off to finish this on my own" and leave us to bicker about who drove this Young Turk to depart

Here are some lines for you to repeat to yourself before you drop off to sleep at night:

"My car is a sh*tbox, my car is a sh*tbox, my car is a sh*tbox, my car is a sh*tbox...". Rinse and repeat.

Tomorrow you can sing it to yourself quietly while you fart about with the new wheels, and if you're tuned in to your senses you'll be able to hear the car festering gently in accompaniment as it turns into Iron Oxide, waving this cruel world bye bye...

Come now gents, we want to see a clean fight, no punches below the belt, no head butts and stop when you hear the whistle!!

Excellent Don how and what you going to paint them with, satin or gloss/what primer

Y'know, as much as it is bizarre and frustrating, I can see the appeal of this thread - it promises the same sort of final bloody spectacle that the Romans enjoyed on a nice day out at the Coliseum.

At the moment we have a bit of gladiatorial action going on. The feeding the Christians to the lions bit happens when the horrors of the shell start being dissected.

Panem et circenses indeed...

Some of my favourites!!!

I must have over 8 sets of wheels plus extra tyres at the moment..

Can not possibly even tell you how many I have ever owned!!!

I like rare expensive rims!!
:)

Sold my Sparco Crimson vipers in the end 8.5j and 9.5j after having tyres fitted twice at dodgy tyre places and f**king my rims!! Looked s**t after I had to touch them in and did not have the heart to repaint them all again to get the colour to match...

I now only use a place with a machine that does not touch the rim at all!!

Some pearlescent ones I did for my gf's mx5 two tone lilac and pastel green.

She loved them!

I surprised her.

I done a lot for other people!

Do you think this is the first set of wheels I have painted?!!!!

Oh dear an interested question replied with a question, so I shall reply accordingly, I suspect you have painted more wheels and stuff than I have had hot dinners, I was just wondering how durable you wanted them to be, maybe I missed it but have you a colour in mind for the body ?

Don, keep up the good work, I really would love for this thread to have a happy ending :)

But in the meantime, there is an economic alternative
