78 260Z Servo, 280ZX Master Cylinder

Just a quick question for the guys who have made this swap.

Do I need to keep the metal plate? (what is it?) Should I rotate it?

Are the threaded parts studs so that I can swap them around?

Any other help of comments gladly received.

(I noticed the pipes need swapping over)

Cheers,

Wes

I take it you're trying to fit the 15/16" master cylinder from the ZX in which case you've got the wrong one. It looks like you have the one from the late ZX when in fact you need the one from the early version which has the mounting holes 90degrees to the one you have. You retain the "metal plate" (spacer) and it bolts straight on. You will have to adjust the pushrod length (can't remember the right length). Incidentally your pushrod looks some way out of the servo and you should take care not to lose the rubber reaction disc inside the servo, it is only placed inside with no fixing and could well fall into the bottom of the servo and will be difficult to recover.

This one is the easiest. Sorry about the "swirley" picture.
