Both pistons and rods are custom made to spec. Pistons are 98mm (5mm overbore) for 5.0l capacity CR will be ~12:1.

Much more sense that the £15k kits you can buy to up the capacity!

All looks very pretty, it finally dawned on me this morning that the VH45 et al are DOHC engines, which explains their height etc

Lovelly short skirts on those pistons John. Nice low friction internals, how about titanium valves next?

They look like absolutely top class bits - they look fantastic.

Any idea what sort of power figures you are expecting ? BHP ? Torque ? Should be pretty high with the engine you are building.

Not yet, but with the cams, rev limit and CR I'm using I'd hope for 100-120bhp/l on a 4cyl. Less efficient exhaust scavenging but should still hopefully make ~100. Time will tell I guess .....
