Probably a Fairlady Z with no goodies and the cr*p brakes for £5K more than the "basic" UK car. Be patient and wait 'til April 2004 (if you place your order now).
God, I sound like Quentin Wilson! But seriously, importers should by now have realised that, for once, Nissan GB have given us what we have always moaned the loss of - a pure 2 seater, manual gearbox and as high a specification as any other market in the world (unlike the Z31 and Z32 models we suffered). Many of the import models of the 350Z will not live up to the promise of the UK car. If looking at JDM models, hang out for a Version S if you want the sporty stuff (Brembos, 18" alloys, 6-speed manual and VDC), the Version T if you want the luxury bit (leather seats, Bose stereo and cruise) or Version ST if you want it all. The UK GT option car is equivalent to a Version ST+ with additional features and modifications. Guide price for an import (IMHO) should be no more than £26K for everything and pro-rata less as you go back towards the Fairlady Z (at least £5K less?). Why anybody in their right minds would now buy the Fairlady 350Z for use in the UK is beyond me (unless it were being offered dirt cheap and you totally lack any qualities of patience) - you'll probably like it as much as JC did.
