They are different castings.
They have different valves
The chamber sizes and shapes are different
they come from Nissan on different blocks and have different pistons
There is no "better". Which head you use depends on price and availability as well as the intended end use/result . It also depends on the amount of welding and machining and ultimately CNC machining you plan on adding to the basic unit.
The technichal information is all out there already on the internet and in books if you want a detailed analysis of them.

My reply assumed that derrick had hit the wrong key by accident or hadnt got the right glasses on . I do it all the time as i get even older and my eyesight gets a little worse.:D
But never mind at least Derrick doesnt do everything with the Caps lock on now:bow:

Thanks John interesting reading i have an n42 on the car and a couple of p90 heads as spare also another n42 spare so thought id ask the question on differences thanks for the link just need to read it a few times to try and understand it :cheers: mate
