280 z brake booster upgrade

Hi all not posted for a long time so this is a question about a 280z upgrade i have tried to do using a toyota hilax master cylinder and booster . all plummed in well but no front brake at all could this be the proportional valve .is the anyone with a similar set up any help please . Chris

Have you got a bleed valve on brake master cylinder, I presume the brakes were all working before you did the upgrade.

dont know Mike none of it worked , put the old master cylinder on still the same problem and res as gone down so there may still be air with in the system . i think the problem with the hilux MC is it thinks its got disc brake all round but i still have drum rears so may have to remove the check valve . may try this with the hilux cylinder fitted to the original booster and take a direct line to the front brakes . any thoughts .Chris

I think the Wilwood mc conversion also has a pressure valve which causes an issue when upgrading to them so it could be a similar issue.
Have you checked it at the proportional valve to see if fluid is coming out

One of the easist and looks OEM, is fitting a booster from a S30 2by2 to a 2 seater, as the 2by2 had a bigger one due to being a heavier and carry more weight, model.
