I have seen refurbished 'chrome on plastic' trims for the rear light panels on ebay at some massively unrealistic cost but am aware that there are many specialist firms here in the UK that can do this process. The problem is separating the 'chrome on plastic' bits from the body of the light panels. Looking though at my 260z's light panels the 'chrome' bits seem incapable of being separated and appear to be a single moulding. Has anyone managed to remove just the chrome sections? If so is it an easy thing to do. It would be nice to bring them back to something like there original appearance as probably like most others the mirror surface has rubbed away over the years.
