Question 1

On the outside of the door where the glass meets the door panel there is a piece of chrome which slots into place and has a stiff rubber weatherstrip, when i put this on the car it doesent quite meet the glass. Is this right? Does this not mean water will run down the glass and down inside the bottom of the door? Ive included a pic of the area in question.

Question 2

Im having problems closing the hatch down after installing a new weatherstrip hatch seal. Im not sure if ive put it in the right way. Does anyone have some good close up pics of there hatch seal so as i can compare or some useful advice? It seems to have trouble meeting the hatch along the bottom back edge (edge running along top of tail lights) when its shut.

Thanks in advance guys.

Re Q1 It looks like you haven't put the inside trim on yet. Will this push the window out a little therefore closing the gap and making the seal?

Q2 can't help on this one.

Is the window tensioner roller fitted? This should push the glass out towards the outer trim.

#1 The window rubber is like that on mine you could try bending the rubber down when the strip is off.
#2 The catch will move up or down so that the hatch is a tight fit.

Ok,

Im not exactly sure what the window tensioner roller is - the window and mechanism were never removed so if its in that department it should all still be there. All that i remember removing was the inner and outer bits of trim. I didnt think that the inner trim would push it out but ill give that a try.

As for the hatch ill have to come back on this one as i think my locking mechanism is knackered and this could be half or all the problem.

Thanks for the tips guys, ill update this thread when i know more!

Cheers,
Ryan
