260 - 280z doors same?

Anyone know if a 77 78 us spec 280z door is the same as a 78 uk spec 260z 2 seater door ?
Mine have both rusted at the bottoms and it looks like theres a few available, but from the states.

I fitted 260z doors to my 240z all i had to do was reweld the arm supports bolts, looking at usa 280z id say they are the same but you may have to do what i did, but once door cards are in place who will know

Later 260z doors aren't the same as 240 doors, else I would have used them

correct i forgot i used early 260z doors which are the same size

I thought the actual door shell was different on late 260 & will not fit a 240, would have thought 280 is the same as late 260 but I guess you need to be sure before shipping some from the states.

A late 260Z UK spec is the same as a US spec 280Z apart from the obvious. So I guess the doors will fit. Late doors have recessed latches instead of protruding ones and the fixings for the window frames are different to early ones.

I think later US doors have intrusion bars inside, but will physically fit a late UK 260Z...

Wyn, I have a 77 280Z here but unfortunately no UK cars to compare the doors with, although I saw no difference with them to the UK 79 260Z doors I did have previously.

Just to put it straight...a '77/78 280z door will fit a late 260z, and has an extra crash "bar" in door. This makes it a little bit heavier. I know, as have 280z door on my car, as cheaper to buy a rust free one, rather than the cost of repairing a "repairable" one left from UK cars.
