260 2+2 on ebay

oh come on guys. this guy is completey genuin........ sorry just seen a pig through my bedroom window, catch ya later..........

It would be fantastic if the 240/260/2602+2 would go up in value and be recognised for the classic it is. Unfortunately unless the car is something completely special we will never see these cars go for 34K. As for the 2+2 on E-bay I just wonder if the guy did any research into these cars before he bought it, more money than sense springs to mind.
Did anyone see the 240 that was on E-bay at the beginning of the week? I ended up having a conversation with the guy who owns it and he said that because of the amount of interest he had in it, went up to about £500 if I remember, he pulled the auction. I assume it had more to to with the people watching the auction rather than bidding on it. The car from what I could make out had rust in just about every panel. When I said if was probably good for spares he was most put out. I got the impression that at some time in the distant past he used to restore these cars but had been out of the picture for some time and just didn't realise how hard it is getting to replace a lot of the major items.
I'm not sure what point I'm trying to make I suppose just that it is a fickle market.

Also a bit strange, he says it has a low reserve but at £122 its not showing one? Plus the car in the montage has a different front spoiler than the car on its own.

Any S30 getting over £10,000 as a sale is getting on towards a record !
I know of two that were sold over here recently for £12000 and £12500 and the Le Mans Classic white Z didn't reach it's reserve price at £35000 !
Don't sell 'em - love 'em ! And there are very few bargain Zs out there, even at £500 !
