240z/260z fan belt

I have a 260z engine in my car but a 240z fan belt doesn't seem to fit. Is the main crankshaft pulley bigger on a 260z? And is it better to leave the 260z front pulley rather than change for a 240z one? (I presume that if the 260z has a bigger pulley will result in the alternator and water pump turning faster.)

I had problems getting a new fan belt for my 240z and have now fitted an Mk3 escort cvh Engined fanbelt to it as these are cheap and the same size..
