240 260 Quater Panel ?

Can someone confirm if the 240 and 260 2 seater outer rear qarter panels are the same and can interchange?
i.e if you was just to use the outer skin
I know the early 240 had a diffo door latch mech and the "inner" petrol flap area hole is diffo
Not sure if its just the retainer hole/neck ring thats diffo or not?

But is the main outer quarter the same between the two?

Both Mr F and me think that it will be interchangable with the exceptions that Wyn has already mentioned.
But has anyone got any further information that might be relevant and useful. Ie done the job before. either 240 on to 260 or vice versa???
