I got a pair of 2 inch sus today as i need to sell my webers to make cash. They are from a 3.8 jag. Can I bolt them on to my 2.8 and then just adjust them or do they have jets that need changing?

You need Z Club Magazine back issue Autumn 1987 (old B & W issue) if still available, or at least a photocopy from one of the archives. This has useful listings of needles and springs for various applications and all the diagrams needed to fabricate linkages etc. if you don't already have them.
