Apologies if this seems like a silly question … but how does the forced ventilation lever ( between the steering wheel and drivers door on my 260Z operate ?
Does pulling it out mean air is recycled in the car and pushing it in keep fresh air coming in? Or the other way round ?

Unfortunately my 1974 model has lock pins that are only 5.5 inches from the edge .
Yours appear to be the slightly later model that are 8.5 inches or so .

Are you able to provide the measurements from the edges of the panels to the lock pin hole?
I believe the siting of the lock pin can vary on earlier vs later models.
Here are the current stripy seats and the planned new ones .
The stereo is a retrosound hermosa with chrome knobs
The 6 inch speakers will go in the original speaker bays near the rear door and also 2 4 inchers behind the higher up sections nearer the front seats - where there are speaker type...
So far I’ve done the following
Oil flush and filters replaced
Engine six belt changed
Coolant and air filters changed
Stripped/ cleaned/ rebuilt/ balanced carbs
Replaced fuel filter/ spark plugs/ distributor/ rotor arm
Adjusted ignition timing
Brake fluid flushed and replaced
Gearbox and final...

I’m just enjoying driving it tbh.
Will keep on top of the work needed e.g a few small rust patches ,Getting the door lock sorted on the passenger door etc.

Hi all-I’ve just joined.
I’ve recently bought this 1974 260Z.
Had a thorough service a month or so ago and no major issues found.
I’ll be changing the seats, having a retro stereo fitted and have 2 tiny dents knocked out.
Other than that I’m just looking forward to driving the car I’ve wanted...
