Thanks again for the help, mine are 86mm . as far as the ring type goes i'll take your caution seriously , but this seems to be the next issue where to find rings for these . I've got a few supplier's that i would normally use but for these pistons they are drawing a blank, as i mentioned...

Also , any idea the best place to buy a ring set ? Had a look in all the usual places Z store etc and they seem to only list Turbo 80 -83, would you know if these fit the above piston

Okay thats interesting , however i've searched all over for an image the same as the ones i have and can't find anything? Many images of flat top without the raised part , i've tried the part number and still no luck , it just seems odd that if these are standard 280Z flat tops there seems to...

I recently bought a l28 engine, thought i'd strip it to have a look to see what the story is , and found it had the pistons below ! , I've had a good look but hit a blank on what they are ? they have the part number stamped into them P86 34, can anyone shed any light on these??
