yes second statement is true 100%, remember reading info on NISSAN US sites back in 2003-2004

The 4270 figure came from DVLA database so relies on the imports being classified correctly by VIN. If the Z32 figures are anything to go by, this will not necessarily be accurate.
I'm currently trying to get some VIN listings from them to check how many Z32s got turned into Z31s...
