In order to reduce the image size you have to use some photo or image editing software (XP Pro is just the opperating system). If you let me know what you have got then I'll try and guide you through it, or if you want to try yourself then follow these principles.

Look in the menu's for something that will let you RESIZE or edit the IMAGE SIZE in pixels. Aim to reduce this to around 640 X 480. Usually if you change the horizontal, the vertical will change to suit so you don't end up stretching the picture.

Let me know how you get on.

Sorry haven't been reading this thread.

Download this
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe

It's one of the powertoys from

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

Install it, and then when you right click on an image file you can go to Resize, then choose your settings, ok, voila! Be sure not to resize the original image otherwise it'll replace the photo you're resizing.

Maybe someone can write a guide on this for the website please?

Well done Russ. Now that has to be one of the best add-ons. Here is the guide.

1. Right click image.
2. Choose "resize pictures" from the menu.
3. Leave it at 640 X 480 and click OK.

It then creates another image in the same folder but with (small) added to the file name. How easy is that!!!!!!
